Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 240 of Sumner County, Tennessee

Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 240 was Chartered on November 24, 1986 as a 501(c)19 service organization to support veterans and veteran’s families in Sumner County, Tennessee.

Chapter 240 also maintains the Vietnam Veterans of Sumner County Foundation, a 501(c)3 Foundation, to accept donations and conduct fundraising to support the efforts of the Chapter.

Chapter 240 holds its monthly meeting on the first (1st) Monday of each month at 7PM at VFW Post # 9851, at 73 New Shackle Island Road, Hendersonville, Tennessee.  At 6PM, a dinner is served by Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America.

Sumner County Veterans Park

Chapter 240 is proud to design and maintain the Sumner County Veterans Park (on property behind the Sumner County Administration Building, 355 Belvedere, Gallatin, Tn) This Park memorializes the men and women (WWI through Iraq) with their names engraved on a tiered memorial.  Additionally, the Park features a Wall of Honor where veterans may have an engraved brick honoring their service to our country.
